Competition Class

All Levels Jiu Jitsu - we will spend time drilling techniques, doing situational sparring, and doing match length sparring rounds.

 

Kids Jiu Jitsu - we will offer two age grouped classes:  kids ages 6-10 in one class and kids ages 11-15 in a second class.  We will focus on fundamental techniques, principles, and movements involved in jiu jitsu.  This program will help children develop self-confidence, discipline, respect, and coordination while learning the fundamentals of jiu jitsu in a fun family atmosphere.

 

Ladies Jiu Jitsu - we will mainly focus on fundamental techniques, principles, and movements involved in jiu jitsu.  This class is an inclusive class open to all womxn and is a great way to get started in jiu jitsu.  There will be minimal to no sparring.

 

Kickboxing – we will blend traditional Muay Thai and western kickboxing techniques.  These classes will focus on basic techniques, principles, and movements.  There will be minimal situational sparring.

 

Self-Defense – we will focus on fundamental techniques, principles, and movements involved in self-defense.  This class is not just about the physical aspects of self-defense, but also on the mental aspects of being aware of your surroundings and situations and how to handle threats.  There will not be any sparring in this class, but there will be some situational drills where there may be some sparring-like scenarios.

 

NoGi Jiu Jitsu – we will focus on fundamental techniques, principles, and movements involved in no-gi jiu jitsu.  There will be some sparring in this class.

 

Yoga – Yin – a passive and restorative practice that involves holding passive postures for three to five minutes while connecting mind, body, and breath.  Yin Yoga stretches the body’s connective tissue giving more range for all other active yang-style activities (like jiu jitsu and kickboxing).  Yin Yoga is restorative, meditative, and a good balance for all jiu jitsu yangsters.
