All Levels Jiu Jitsu - we will spend time drilling techniques, doing situational sparring, and doing match length sparring rounds.
Ladies Jiu Jitsu - we will mainly focus on fundamental techniques, principles, and movements involved in jiu jitsu. This class is an inclusive class open to all womxn and is a great way to get started in jiu jitsu. There will be minimal to no sparring.
Jiu Jitsu Fundamentals - we will focus on fundamental techniques, principles, and movements involved in jiu jitsu. There will be no sparring in this class.
Advanced Jiu Jitsu - we will mainly focus on advanced techniques, competition preparation, and longer length sparring rounds.
Advanced Jiu Jitsu – Competition Class – we will focus on the intricacies of competition prep, competition game planning, and competition mindset. There will be some sparring, mainly situational.
Jiu Jitsu Sparring Rounds – this is a sparring only class with no instruction. We will vary the length of the rounds, but this will be a time to push yourself in your sparring. This class is for advanced students only, check with the coaches if you are unsure about being ready for this class.
Kickboxing – we will blend traditional Muay Thai and western kickboxing techniques. These classes will focus on basic techniques, principles, and movements. There will be minimal situational sparring.
Self-Defense – we will focus on fundamental techniques, principles, and movements involved in self-defense. This class is not just about the physical aspects of self-defense, but also on the mental aspects of being aware of your surroundings and situations and how to handle threats. There will not be any sparring in this class, but there will be some situational drills where there may be some sparring-like scenarios.
NoGi Jiu Jitsu – we will focus on fundamental techniques, principles, and movements involved in no-gi jiu jitsu. There will be some sparring in this class.
Yoga – Vinyasa – traditional power yoga that will string postures together using your breath to move. Expect to work in this class through lots of sun salutations, balancing postures, with some fixed postures.
Yoga – Yin – a passive and restorative practice that involves holding passive postures for three to five minutes while connecting mind, body, and breath. Yin Yoga stretches the body’s connective tissue giving more range for all other active yang-style activities (like jiu jitsu and kickboxing). Yin Yoga is restorative, meditative, and a good balance for all jiu jitsu yangsters.
